All I've ever wanted was to be a great mom and bring home the "bacon" at the same time. Truth is, I wasn't able to do that working 9-5. Because somewhere along the line, something was missing. Time with my kids (and hubby) is so precious and I couldn't take one more minute working for someone else.
Truth is. I think I'm unemployable. I don't like to be told when to come to work, when to leave work, how much I can get paid, how much time I can take off for my family.
I WANTED SOMETHING ELSE! And my "ticket" to get out of this madness came to me a few years ago when I happened to stumble upon a girls post on facebook about a new company where I could sell something I liked, get it for free and make some money. HA HA! really?! like one of those home party things that many women dread? Sign up for that? Pay money to get into something like that? cha righ!.........So 3 short moments later, I had charged the sign-up fee on my card which was already practically maxed out. Oh yay! hubby will totally dig that! (he didn't know for weeks what I had just gotten into).
Working for ME and being a mompreneur has been rewarding in more ways than none. I have grown as a professional businesswoman, a mom, a wife and my bank account has seen some great days as well! This doesn't go without working my butt off, loveing what I do and sharing it with people.
I've come to the point in my mompreneur-ness, that I just love talking to people about getting THEM to where they want to be. Whatever venture they decide, I LOVE to see women be successful. Period.
Reality is, being a mompreneur can be a little crazy. I flippin' love it! I love the flexibility, I love the ability to make however much I want. It's so rewarding and I can't wait to hear more stories of mompreneurs out there who are doing the same thing!
